Altronic Inc manufactures dedicated electronic controls at the corporate headquarters in Ohio, and we integrate these control devices into a stand alone safety control system designed to shutdown critical rotating equipment before it self destructs while simultaneously alerting the operator as to why the unit has shutdown. From this simple premise, we get into rather sophisticated programmable logic controllers that integrate with Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and we also communicate all operating parameters to remote sites via telephone and low earth orbit satellites.

Summary:

Weyerhaeuser Valliant paper mill in Southeast Oklahoma.

This position will enable a young engineer to develop their skills in a rewarding job. They will have the opportunity to be trained and mentored to work with motor controls, stand alone and coordinated drives(AC & DC), programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, networks, power distribution, etc. The work includes design and installation of new systems as well as upgrading and troubleshooting existing systems.
The Valliant mill is a 1500 acre industrial complex that produces 4,800 tons/day of paper from a mix of wood and recycled fibers. We have 3 production lines, chemical recovery processes, powerplant(4 industrial boilers/1 Turbine Generator) and water treatment facilities. We consume 120 MW of electricity. Although, we produce half of our electrical consumption, we remain the single largest consumer of electricity in the state of Oklahoma. The mill employs 480 people in operations, maintenance and professional positions.
The plant was originally constructed in 1971, but has had significant capital investment to insure its long-term viability. An example of the investment is the completion of a new $90 million chemical recovery boiler this February. Estimated plant replacement value is $1.5-2 billion.
This area is rural with very nice lakes(boat, fish, ski) and pine forests(camp, hunt, hike) for those who love outdoor activities. Cost of living is probably one of the lowest in the nation. We are 3-4 hours from large metro areas such as Dallas, Tulsa, Little Rock and Shreveport. We have a town of 9,000 people(Idabel) that is 20 miles from plant site and a town of 25,000(Paris, TX) that is 45 miles from plant site.

(YNE) is seeking an experienced CADD technician for transportation design team in the Tyler, Texas office.  YNE is a small, east Texas firm that has been in business for 10 years.  This growing firm performs projects statewide for TxDOT and local municipalities, including PS&E for transportation projects, traffic studies and bridge design and inspection.

The desired candidate will have 4 to 6 years experience using AutoCAD or Microstation to produce plans for transportation projects.  Most work is performed in Microstation.  The position will include working with engineers and other designers to complete layouts for traffic signals, illumination, signing, and hydraulic sheets.  The desired candidate will also have the opportunity to head the drafting program of the firm.
