Master of Engineering and Master of Business Administration Concurrent Degree Program


The coordinated ME-MBA degree option incorporates content in management, economics, finance and marketing into a framework of advanced engineering topics. The coordinated degree can be completed in 57 semester credit hours, including leveling courses for both Business and Engineering


CURRICULUM

Two required engineering courses:

          ENGR 5300 Systems Engineering
          ENGR 5327 Quality Control and Statistics
               or
          ENGR 5320 Reliability Analysis
               or
          ENGR 5323 Design of Experiments

Three semester hours selected from the following engineering ourses:
 
          ENGR 5318 Manufacturing Systems
          ENGR 5322 Human Factors
          ENGR 5324 Engineering Project Management
          ENGR 5331 Constraints Management
          ENGR 5332 New Product Development
 
Twelve semester hours of approved graduate engineering courses:

          ACCT 5300 Accounting Concepts and Procedures
          ACCT 5320 Accounting for Management Control
          ECON 5300 Economic Concepts
          ECON 5320 Advanced Economic Analysis

          GENB 5305 Decision Making in Operations Management
          MANA 5320 Human and Organizational Behavior
               or MANA 5390 Organizational Theory and Decision-Making
          MARK 5320 Current Trends in Marketing
          MARK 5380 Market Research and Analysis
          MANA 5395 Strategy and Policy Formulation

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  • Admission to the University
  • Satisfactory GMAT score
  • Satisfactory grade point average computed on the last 60 undergraduate hours
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely associated discipline
  • Approval of the departmental graduate program coordinator for the Master of Engineering degree.
